The professional staff of Briscoe Attorneys comprises Daphne Briscoe, and four Attorneys: Luzibo Benza, Claudine Rendo, Hlompo Seikano and Setso Mokoti, assisted by Andrew Briscoe, as well as local and international consultants and advocates.
Daphne Briscoe is the holder of a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Botswana in conjunction with the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. Daphne has served on the Disciplinary Committee of the Law Society of Botswana, and also chaired the Society’s Conveyancing Committee. In 2010, she was appointed to the Board of Air Botswana and in 2015-6 was appointed to the Presidential Task Team for the 2036 Botswana National Vision.
Since its foundation, the firm has been assisted by Andrew Briscoe, a UK-educated lawyer specialising in labour law, governance and policy implementation. Andrew has over 20 years experience in providing consultancy services for a wide range of clients including the Botswana Parliament, Ministries of the Botswana Government, and various international organisations. Andrew was a founding member and director of Transparency International Botswana, and has drafted labour legislation for the Botswana Parliament, and a Code of Conduct for Members of Parliament. Andrew also conducts seminars on labour law, and has written books on business law, environmental law, labour law and small business regulation.
